There’s no doubt you’re aware of the many hardships Africans face. From famine in Niger or genocide in Sudan, to corruption in Zimbabwe and natural species collapse in Malawi, the troubles in Africa are being broadcasted all over TV, highlighted in newspapers and showcased as features in specially issued magazines, and are even on branded apparel. It is crucial that we – the people of this world – understand these struggles and work together to help alleviate them. It is also important for us to recognize that there is more to Africa, and Africans, than disease, poverty, war and violence. There is life, and hope. There is education and inspiration and progress. From Tunisia to Madagascar to Senegal, and a handful of countries in-between, we will engage locals through the game of Frisbee, fostering relationships and coming to a better understanding of just what it means to be African. And who would have thought a Frisbee could be so powerful?
